Anyone else found a external trail cam viewer that works with the trophy cam?

It doesn't surprise me that it is hard finding a viewer for trophy cams. That is the only camera I cant check with my cool pics camera. Its a pain in the butt.

I use my point and shoot Canon to view mine now. If you take your point and shoot and use the SD card in the camera you should then be able to view the pics off your trophy cam. It will create two files on the card, very rarely I do get a picture I can't see but in general I can view them all. I tried it with my wifes cool pics and it worked with hers. Let me know

What is the purpose of having a viewer in the field?  I just switch out my sd card and check it back at camp or at home.  I am pretty new to this so if there is a reason, maybe I should look into buying one...help me spend more money.  lol

 The biggest benifit would be so you can see if you are in a good spot, or that camera is working correctly.
   My cameras are about 4 miles behind the gate. So its a bummer when i am in a bad spot or if somethings messed up. I cant do anything about it till the following weekend. Then I lose another week.

Can't you tell by the number of pics that were taken if you were in a good spot.  Last year was my first time setting up a camera on bait.  I was in an area I didn't expct to get many pics and i still averaged 300-500 pics per 2-3 week soaks.   So I left it there.  I guess I could have gotten home to have traveld 75 miles for pics of ravens??

It's nice when you first set up a camera, to walk around in front of it for a few minutes and get a few pictures, and then look at them to be sure the camera is aimed correctly. I just did that this morning, and ended up moving the camera about five times before I got it just right. The only way to know if it's aimed right is to look at the pictures.

Also when I've had a camera up in a spot for a period of time, if it's not doing very well, I like to know when I check it, so that I can decide whether to pull it or not. I had a camera last summer that several times I went in there with the intention of pulling it, because it just wasn't getting much action. But every time when I looked at the pictures there would be just one or two that made me want to leave it for a while longer.

By the way, I don't have a viewer, but just use my handheld digitial camera.

I dont ever get that many pictures in a 2-3 week soak. I dont use bait though either. I usually average about 20 pics in 2 weeks (per cam). The place i am in right now and at this time of year Im happy if i have 10 pics.
  So I like to check right there on site. I still switch SD cards out so I can lighten up pictures on computer and see if im missing anything. If i am getting a bunch of does and smaller bucks I will usually move ( this time of year).

I don't believe so. I know with my cameras I don't. Although every time I plug an SD card into my computer to look at the pictures, I format it when I'm done. But I've viewed trail cam pictures with my hand held camera and then stuck the SD card right back into the trail cam and it's never been a problem.

 With the trophy cams I format every time I put it in. Tascos I dont worry about.

I have seven trail cameras and only one has the ability to format a memory card (Primos 46). With that one I would format the card every time. But with the others I can only format the cards on my computer.

I wish these cams would start using mini SD cards..u could put them in about any smart phone and view
